SAMSI Transition Workshop on Functional Data, Dynamics, Trees, Manifolds and Shape Data, Research Triangle Park, NC.  James Ramsay was the animator who reported on the Dynamics thread of this workshop.  David Campbell reported on Parameter Estimation from Locally Enforced Differential Equation Models.  June, 2011.  This workshop was part of a year-long initiative in the Analysis of Object Oriented Data.  James Ramsay was a member of the five-person organizing committee for this overall project.  He spent three months in residence at SAMSI in Research Triangle Park near Durham, NC.  The opening workshop for the project was attended my more than 150 researchers.
